What is ACC format?

 ACC and MP3 are both lossy audio compressed format. ACC is default format used by  iTunes. It produce better quality then MP3 from a give data rate(e.g. 128 Kbps) and it is playable in almost all software that can play MP3 files.

ACC is file format is not even close to being popular as MP3. ACC is not a new file format it's being around here for about a decade, being just 4 year younger to the MP3 format. 

 • File Size
- ACC outshine the MP3 file format in the department, as ACC file format are slightly smaller then MP3 file of the same song .

 • Sound Quality
- In spite of the fact than a ACC file is smaller then a equivalent MP3 file. It still manages the outperform the MP3 format in term of overall sound Quality. Which is main reason why ACC is considered as future lossy digital audio. ACC has more sample frequencies than MP3. It also, handle Audio frequencies above 16Hz much better.
